GA nomination failed

[edit]

I've failed this nomination mainly per the "broad" GA criteria. For example, there is only one sentence on his life outside football - not a great biographical article...surely there's more information out there about him than that! A few other things - the article uses heaps of football jargon (eg. "Rather than kick the extra point for the tie, Timberlake carried on the option to the right, but was tackled one foot short of the goal line, and two points short of an undefeated season") which means absolutely nothing to someone like me - especially with no wlinking so we can read other articles explaining the terms. "Early in an October 24th game against the Cleveland Browns" - Dates need wlinking throughout, and "th" shouldn't be used. Leave a note on my talk page if you've got any questions or anything. GA on hold comments

[edit]

After some grunt work (dashes, other MoS issues, etc.) here we go:

Other than that, looks well-written and comprehensive. Kakofonous (talk) 21:24, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Even though some of my comments weren't addressed, in retrospect this looks like a GA.

Successful good article nomination

[edit]

I am glad to report that this article nomination for good article status has been promoted. This is how the article, as of March 2, 2008, compares against the six good article criteria:

1. Well written?: Fairly well done in this regard.
2. Factually accurate?: Good referencing.
3. Broad in coverage?: Yes.
4. Neutral point of view?: Pass
5. Article stability? Pass
6. Images?: Anything else you can find?

If you feel that this review is in error, feel free to take it to Good article reassessment. Thank you to all of the editors who worked hard to bring it to this status, and congratulations.— Kakofonous (talk) 23:35, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
